Make your Ask:

  1. Explicit

Include what it is that you want the other person to do. If they don't know, they can't deliver.

  1. Complete:

When you write; before you send it; validate that the receiver will have all the inputs that they need, to deliver the output that you need.

  1. Cognitively Light

Easiest asks are the ones that can be responded with a yes/no. Helping them helps you.
